PERMANENT EYEBROWS
Powder brows are a cosmetic permanent makeup technique designed to create eyebrows with soft powder effect, very similar to powder makeup. Permanent eyebrows can give the illusion of a full brow despite having little or no brow hair. Permanent powder brows are created by depositing pixels of pigment in a colour matched tone to your eyebrows. If you have lost your brow hair or indeed lack fullness in your brows powder brows are the answer. An ombre brow will give you the effect of symmetrical perfectly placed brows that won’t dominate your face but elevate it.
Rest assured I take great care to map your brow shape with your involvement before I tattoo your face! You will be included along the way to ensure I create the perfect brow to suit your bone structure but also your lifestyle. A powdered eyebrow will fade nicely and naturally, taking the hassle out of applying eyebrows daily.
At your consultation we will choose the perfect pigment for you and your lifestyle. Please bring with you your favourite brow pencil.
If you are considering permanent makeup do your research and my advice would be to go for a natural soft powder brow that fades out nicely. I always work with your existing brow shape and will never remove brow hair unless requested to do so.
Powder brows will last from 12-18 months and require an annual colour boost but maintenance is relatively minimal. I do provide full aftercare advice following any of my treatments. Longevity of your permanent makeup will depend on some lifestyle choices, for example, sun exposure, retinol usage, exposure to chlorine and use of spf daily. Please check out my testimonials, google reviews and client feedback on social media for confirmation of the numerous positive feedbacks I have received.
WHAT ARE POWDER BROWS?
The method used to implant pigment varies from technician. Whether they use a hand tool or a mini blade (micro blade ) or a machine essentially it’s how we get the pigment into the epidermal layer of the skin to create the brow shape.
I prefer the use of a machine and in particular an acupuncture needle to build softly colour, creating pixels of pigment, that form the brow shape.
Powder brows are similar to brow tint but as it’s permanent it will have longevity (12-18 months). The pigment will remain in the skin and give the illusion of brow hair. This saves time, money spent on tinting and provides a fuller brow shape that lasts, what’s not to love??
Whilst I also trained in using blades also known as microblading/3d brows/hair strokes I personally don’t like the effect as a small blade dipped in ink is used to cut the skin and implant pigment. This can be painful and usually they blur and mostly won’t stay crisp…..I prefer the effect of a powder brow as soft pixels of pigment build up to create a brow shape and fullness that fades nicely and preserves the overall skin integrity.
